Expansion scales the logistics company's capacity past 25,000 square feet
Newark, NJ (PRUnderground) October 27th, 2026

The Fastway Group LLC d/b/a Alluel, a minority-owned third-party logistics company serving the tri-state area, has acquired a 19,900-square-foot warehouse in Newark's South Ward and has relocated its headquarters to the city. The acquisition brings Alluel's total operating capacity to more than 25,000 square feet and represents a long-term commitment to Newark, including hiring from the community and a planned conversion to an employee-ownership model.
Alluel started in 2015 with one man and one van. Today, it is a multimillion-dollar operation serving manufacturers and makers, New York City's design community, production teams, and public-sector agencies including the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and the NYC Department of Homeless Services.
Alluel founder and COO Alick Johnson said, "This business has grown through years of relentless work, especially the physical work, but we've also been modernizing and customizing our tech stack. We can now meet our operational needs with a more effective go-to-market strategy, state-of-the-art inventory management, and greater visibility for our clients. Our footprint in Newark is a place where we get to put everything into practice and train our people to use new tools and grow right along with us."
The new facility significantly bolsters the company's receiving, inspection, staging, and delivery capabilities. The added capacity also makes room for planned offerings such as on-site furniture repair, archival storage, and expanded fulfillment services.
Alluel CEO Yemi Rose said, "It's gratifying to be in a place where it's possible to implement these ideas. In Newark, we have both the space and the community to support our growth. There's talent here, there's opportunity here, and there are organizations we really believe in."
Alluel's next phase of growth will be strengthened by a comprehensive new training program designed around the company's standards for flawless handling, skilled installation, and thorough documentation. In partnership with Newark Works, the city's workforce development team, and Hopeworks Newark, which trains Newark youth to use artificial intelligence tools, Alluel is identifying and hiring local talent. The company's current and future expansion is also being shaped by a close working relationship with Invest Newark, the city's economic development corporation, which helped the company root itself in the city.
"Alluel could have planted its flag anywhere in the region, and they chose Newark," said Marcus Randolph, President and CEO of Invest Newark. "They bought into our community, are hiring Newarkers, and are building a path for their employees to own the company they work for. That kind of growth keeps wealth in the community instead of letting it pass through. Invest Newark has been happy to guide them along the way, and we expect Newark to be central to their story for a long time."
Alluel's headquarters relocation took effect on September 1. The company will continue to serve clients across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
